Leisure 17– Sail number 1215  “Twig”.

Requires renovation.

L17 1215 comes with a braked road trailer and is fully equipped for sailing -  but not, at present, for comfort or cruising. The original owner adapted Twig (then called “Io” ) for single-handed sailing on the Solent. Subsequent owners have sand skipped, but not cruised, on the North Norfolk coast from a berth at Wells-Next-the-Sea.

At the beginning of “Lockdown” Twig was hauled out and taken to Castle Acre (NW Norfolk near Swaffham) for cleaning, topside repairs, painting, electrical renewal and comfort refurbishment. Some progress has been made with cleaning and woodwork repairs. However, shingles attacks and octogenarianism have advised the owner that retirement is now a better option.

The road trailer is braked and has a spare wheel (unused). 
Sails: Main, Genoa, Storm jib and Spinnaker are all in fair condition for their age.
Standing rigging is sound. Some running rigging is due for renewal.
Hull is sound and pressure washed but needs new anti-fouling.
Windows need checking and in some cases re-sealing.
Some holes where old fittings have been removed need filling.
Steering gear is firm and responsive. 
Navigational equipment requires remounting and rewiring,
Internal fittings require renewal and cushion foam needs re-covering.

A long shaft Suzuki DF4, fully refurbished and recently serviced, is available separately by negotiation (£300 ono). Local delivery in East Anglia is possible.
