Enquiries and quote requests
When you send us a message or the details of your boat, we receive what you type into the form, any photos you attach, and the page you sent it from. We use this to answer you, to price the job and to arrange the work. Enquiries are delivered to us by email through our email provider (Brevo), and photos sent through the quote form are stored by our hosting provider (Vercel). We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your boat and for our business records. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Boat registrations
If you register interest in a boat we are re-homing, the details you give go into a Google Form and spreadsheet that we use to choose and contact the new owner. They are shared with the boat's current owner only if you are offered the boat.
Mailing list
Our new-boat alerts are sent through Brevo. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we only send them to people who have signed up.
Cookies and measurement
We measure how the site is used in two ways:
Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and the country, device and referring site of each visit. It does not set cookies and does not identify you, so it runs without asking.
Google Analytics and Google Ads help us see which pages and adverts bring people to us and whether they go on to send an enquiry or call. These set cookies on your device, so they only run after you accept them in the banner. If you decline, Google receives only anonymous, cookieless signals that cannot be linked to you. You can change your choice at any time: change my cookie choice.
The site also uses Google Fonts and shows our Google reviews. Both involve requests to Google's servers when a page loads, but no cookies are set by them.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to our using it. Email info@boat-disposal.co.uk and we will deal with it promptly. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
