Construction
Hull was glued Cedar strip sheathed with cloth and epoxy on Douglas Fir centreline structure. Deck is a Brunzell plywood subdeck on Douglas Fir beams planked with ancient yellow pine and mahogany covering boards and kingsplank. The topsides were painted with Blakes two pack polyurethane, the bottom was treated with copperbot and all brightwork in Schooner varnish. The lead keel was cast by Henry Irons from a piece of KENTRA'S original lead keel from 1923.

Rig
The rig is a gunter (or steep gaffer) sloop with a toral of 260 sq.ft. of sail made in cream terylene by Gayle Heard of Tollesbury. The mainsail has two slab reefs and there are two stay sails. The spars were made by Collars of Oxford and are short enough to store easily in the winter. All the standing and running rigging was done by a traditional Clyde rigger. The spars, as well as foresail and mainsail are still present.
