'Stargazer' is seeking a new home after several years ashore.
The Sunray 21 is an early example of a GRP masthead sloop with shallow-draft bilge keels, designed by Arthur Howard. She measures 21 x 7.5 ft and has a draft of 2.5ft.
Accommodation
Despite her small size, 'Stargazer' has a remarkable amount of accommodation, with four cushioned berths: two in the forward cabin, and two across the dinette arrangement on the saloon's port side. There is also a separate heads compartment, a galley space with a gas cooker and short standing room, and a dry locker for wet gear.
Condition
The boat is understood to be in fair condition, with no major issues reported. However, the boat has not been sailed for the past six years by the current owner, and will require recommissioning work alongside some necessary gelcoat repairs.
On board
Onboard, the boat is known to have:
- Bulkhead compass and depth sounder
- Anchor, chain, warp, fenders, and life jackets
- 5hp Evinrude outboard motor with tiller steering controls
- Mast, sails, and running rigging (condition unknown, but included)
Location and collection
Stargazer is currently ashore and could be taken over in situ. There is no trailer included with the boat, and the prospective owner would have to arrange transport or craning.
