Hunter Sonata ‘Kelpie’
Afloat near Exeter, Devon
About her
Sonatas are very popular racer-cruisers that continue to maintain their strong pedigree, with many sailing clubs adopting them as a one-design class, and most regattas including a Sonata start. ‘Kelpie’ is a great example of these popular boats, currently in working order and ready for a new lease of life.
The boat has been well maintained by its current owner, with any substantial boat work carried out by professionals. There are reportedly no repairs needed and she is watertight. She has been sailing well, and has done trips to Dartmouth and Dittisham from her current mooring near Exeter.
