'Pleiades' 18ft Gaff

About her

'Pleiades' is a Hillyard 2.5-tonner: an 18ft gaff rigged boat of wooden build. This was the smallest design by David Hillyard, who designed a range of wooden yachts. Although this one comes without, they are known to be trailered, thanks to their shallow full keel design. These boats were not known for their speed, but have been praised in recent decades for their hardiness and elegance.

What she comes with

She comes with one mainsail and two foresails. She is also reported to come with two engines: a 4hp Stuart Turner inboard and a 4hp Mariner outboard. Her stunning wooden mast is said to have been replaced within the past five years.

Condition

We have been told the port side of the cabin has recently been repaired after waterlogging when her winter cover was put over. We must also note that the last known time she was taken out of the water was six years ago. She has been kept on a drying berth.
